Dear First Years …. a simple guide on how to succeed in your degree

Welcome to the fourth poster in the ‘Dear First Years’ series! This poster contains four crucial pieces of advice to follow. Following these pieces of advice will lead to you succeeding in your degree, in all aspects: academically, socially and in terms of gaining the maximum enjoyment.

The most important tip, however, is the third one: make sure you ask your lecturer for help or post a question on Canvas! Not only does this show your willingness to learn, but also means your problem will be solved much faster! Chances are, other members of your course will be having the same problem as well, and will be glad that you chose to be the brave one and ask for help.

There are four images on this poster. On the top left, there is an image of a girl with her hair in a plait standing in front of a chalkboard where there are maths equations written on it. On the top right, there is an image of four classmates sitting together, and one of them is showing the other how to do a question. On the bottom left, there is a boy standing with his laptop in his hand, and a pile of books are behind him on a desk. On the bottom right, there are two girls with backpacks, skipping together.
